Malaysia Club of Queensland is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization. It is a social and community club for Malaysians in Queensland, Malaysian Australians and other Australians who have an interest in Malaysia, its people, culture and cuisine. Besides sporting and social activities it also engages in appropriate local community activities and functions. The Club also provides a forum for Malaysians residing in Queensland to express their views on matters related to relevant community issues and cultural diversity generally.
The Club was formed on 29th of June 1995 and has continued to function since then.
MCQ maintains good relations with the Government, business and community groups. It is independent of the Malaysian government.
Our goal is to foster goodwill and fellowship among Malaysians, Malaysian Australians, their families and the broader Australian community, and to provide social, cultural, educational, recreational, trade and business activities for the benefit of members.
